Design brief - design an auditorium for approximately 60 people for lectures, presentations and social gatherings.
Including the meet-and-greet area, elevator vestibule, kitchen and restrooms.
This is a multi-purpose space, serving as a meeting area for employees as well as a lecture room for the Institute’s guest speakers. Therefore it needs the option of a fold-back wall to create one large space.
Concept - The space was divided into a three-level auditorium with a stage for 1-4 people with a podium and a screen wall.
Materials are carried through from the main building creating a clean and timeless effect with the use of concrete, stone, wood and glass. Marble floor tiles extend up onto the walls emphasize the horizontal lines with the use of aluminum profiles.
LED lights positioned within the linear ceiling wood slats mirror the detail of aluminum profiles on the floors and walls.
